You will be working for a client of ours that handles all of the application development for the City of Indianapolis and for Marion County.  This includes systems such as Child Welfare, Property Systems, IT Systems and more.  You'll be a member of the Web and Client Service Support Team, working on desktop and web applications.  Work will include maintenance on existing apps, problem solving, enhancing existing apps, and new application developments as well.   The primary technologies used include:
 
C#, ASP.Net - heavily
SQL Server - heavily
VB/VB.Net
Java [support role only, no new dev.]
Oracle databases
Crystal Reports
 
All of these are not requirements for the position, but these are the main technologies in place at the client site.  If you don't have experience in some of these, this position will certainly allow you to grow your skill set! 
 
This is a long-term, indefinite contract with great hourly pay.  You are also eligible for benefits through Smart IT Staffing while on this assignment.  History suggests it would last at least two years, based on others that we've placed with this client.  This spot is ideal for a contractor looking for stable work with no end date on the assignment, or the developer interested in relocating permanently to Indianapolis.
